Translator & Tabletop Specialist
I am a translator and tabletop specialist invested in immersive experiences. My inventory is packed with diverse tools for the industry, across four areas of development: localization, playtesting, digital implementation & narrative design.
I provide the end-to-end localization toolkit to bring projects from English to both French & Brazilian Portuguese. I deliver high quality translations, glossary management, thorough proofreading, DTP, LQA, you name it! The goal is total immersion, players should never get pulled out of the experience by a clumsy translation.
No need to punch out virtual cardboard. I build fully scripted & highly polished Tabletop Simulator & Tabletopia modules. Automating complex setups and building custom debug tools to make testing a breeze. Internal iteration, publisher pitches, or a crowdfunding digital preview, it's always useful to have a digital version of the game, and I'm here to help!
A critical part in tabletop development, playtesting! Every solid mechanic needs to survive the trial by fire. I actively try to break systems, hunting down edge cases, infinite loops, and pacing bottlenecks before they become issues in the final product. Once I identify what works and what needs improvement, I deliver a comprehensive report, detailing exactly what broke, the reproduction steps, and actionable tweaks to rebalance the meta.
Great mechanics need a reason to roll the dice or draw that card. I write the lore, backstories, and flavor text that turn a spreadsheet of stats into a living and breathing setting. It's all about tying themes together so players actually care about the universe they are exploring. Details can make a whole world of difference, either through structuring a full campaign narrative or writing punchy loot cards, I'm there to make the flavor elevates the crunch!
I loved working with Elio. He was quick, detail oriented, thoroughly professional, and came up with many creative solutions to meet the game's unique needs.
I first contacted Elio in February 2026. Since then, he has been working with us doing translations from English to French for our main partner: Ludus Magnus Studio. He has always behaved professionally, he's pragmatic, he delivers on time and he is always willing to share thoughts, ideas, tips and experience, which they are always welcome. I have also get to known him a bit personally and he is a genuinely a good person. He will always work towards the deadline, whatever issues may arise during the project and he will meet it no matter what. No fuss, no muss; just what everyone looking for a translator needs.
Elio has been responsible for the French translation of Sky Empire from Greymarsh Games. Sky Empire is a fairly large board game with many different components, including cards, punchboards, tokens, and rulebooks, all containing text that needed to be translated across multiple files and formats. Working with Elio has been an absolute pleasure! He has been highly professional, reasonably priced, and extremely thorough. He even went the extra mile by pointing out several areas for improvement in the original English rules and files! I can wholeheartedly recommend working with Elio!
